In January 2007 under the Nostalgia 77 name he won Jazz Album Of The Year at the BBC Radio One Gilles Peterson Worldwide Awards, and was runner up in the Session of the Year category. On “Everything Under The Sun”, Lamdin explains that he “wanted to make welcoming music”, and “music that is open to everyone”. “Before jazz was a technical music it was an emotional and popular music, it is this kind of music we should be nostalgic for.”

年末这会,Jazz的瘾彻底被勾起来了,以contemporary为主,先是德国的ECM厂牌,基本上今年发行的都听了,很喜欢ECM 音乐中那种严谨,大气,宁静的感觉,实在是太合拍了.同样是德国Jazz名厂的ENJA,也是我极钟爱的,但至今才收了两张,一张是法国大提琴手Renaud Garcia-Fons 的一张CD/DVD版的Arcoluz (with Kiko Ruiz and Negrito Trasante),另一张则是新专Myriam Alter的Where Is There,期待着明年能有更多的收获.接下来再就是伦敦的两个厂,Ninja Tune and Tru-Thought.严格的说,他们的出品并不算是真正意义上的Jazz,在其音乐中Funk,Hip Hop,Electronic,Dance等都可以听到,但又多少受到了jazz的影响,收了不少好东东,大爱啊！ 以下是这一年的Jazz Top 10, 分为ECM Top 10 and Nu-Jazz Top 10.

经管guitar player and drummer 相继离开, 但这一次的新专辑由于Slipknot的鼓手Joey 的加盟， 无疑吊足了瘾。

去年年底参加了G3, 亲眼见到了John Petrucci and Mike Portnoy. 当然对其乐队的07新专特别的期待，专辑总体还是保留了以往的水准风格，progressive metal hero!

Megadeth 这张新专辑无疑是今年最让我期待的.作为BIG FOUR之一,经历了20多年的浮浮沉沉,签约新东家Roadrunner 之后,这一次总算没有让人失望.同时还收了'Warchest'这个3CDs and 1DVD的精典套装,设计的实在是太牛x了.网上下到了他们在Buenos Aires的现场DVD'That One Night', 还低价买到了双DVD的'Arsenal of Megadeth'. 超值！

真是不来国外不知道工业金属NIN的地位,今年的新专辑'YEAR ZERO' 和DVD Live: Beside You In Time 无疑是今年的大爱.

Top 10 Metal Albums of 2007

今年Metal听得不多,而且没有多大变化,只是在'吃老本', 所以这个总结也显得没有太大新意, 基本上是这一年来,众人皆知的金属巨著.此外,这一年还相继错过了多支金属大牌来阿市的演出，其中包括lamb of God, The Black Crusade( Machine Head, Arch Enemy and Trivium), Megadeth, 还有明年1.28的Dream Theater live. 不能原谅阿！

1. KATATONIA
'LIVE CONSTERNATION'

这支瑞典alternative metal band无疑是今年最大的发现,素有The Cure 的金属版之称,本人已收藏了其三张专辑,分别是'VIVA EMPTINESS','THE GREAT COLD DISTANCE' AND CD/DVD edition 'LIVE CONSTERNATION'. 同时也下到了他们的discography.

我的2007年十大

每年年终,总结出这一年的聆听记录总是很痛苦的一件事,拖来拖去的,去年竟然托到3月份才完成.对于我这样平时不注意留心,听的又多,又杂,突然要说出自己一年来的最爱真是很困难.今年狠下心,不再托了,新年之前搞定。

最近常听的3张试验电音后爵

Triosk 来自Sydney, 由Adrian Klumpes(piano), Ben Waples (electric and acoustic bass) Laurence Pike (drums, percussion, programming) 三人组成， 已经发行了3张专辑， 我有了其中的两张， 其一是他们的首张1+3+1， 此张专辑是与德国电音艺术家Jan Jelinek 合作的，迷幻的电音配以美丽的爵士，开创了他们试验电音爵士的先河。 另外一张是他们从scape 转投著名电音厂牌leaf旗下发行的第2张专辑， 名为The Headlight Serenade， 一张歇斯底里的钢琴电音爵士， 迷乱中不乏迷人。

此外，乐队三人亦有自己的其它发展， 例如鼓手Laurence Pike 的私人乐队Roam the Hello Clouds， 前不久刚刚买到他们的那张广受好评的Near Misses， 精彩极了， 小号的吹奏总会出现在乐曲开端，时而明亮， 时而低沉， 然后再渐渐的配以鼓击， 让我想起了法国的爵士乐组合Erik Truffaz， 但却没有其华丽的铺陈， 显得更加纯粹， 耐人寻味。

Art of fighting 孤独的花儿


Aof 是一支来自Melbourne的sadcore, slowcore 风格的乐队，已发行了3张专辑，巡演的足迹，除了Australia本国外， 还包括欧洲的英德法，北美，日本, 甚至于台湾。 其专辑正是交由著名独立唱牌Bella Union在欧洲做独立发行. 不过就是这样一支拿过Australia alternative prize 的, 中国一些有渠道的乐迷都不会感到陌生得乐队竟会在我身处的Adelaide 竟不为人知， 连唱片店里的小哥也闻所未闻。

这次为了推动其新专辑中单曲Mysteries做EP发行， 整个澳洲巡演Adelaide一站选择了一家并不起眼的名为JIVE 的酒吧，酒吧里很简陋， 倒是很喜欢酒吧二层的小阁楼， 到场的人不多， 这到让我居高临下好好地欣赏了一番。 暖场乐队，风格很杂， 没有太多印象了。

Aof 四人组一亮相， 还是让人感到有些碗儿的感觉， 先行曲一奏出，就让我惊叹不已，飘摇恍惚的吉他，意境饱满的键盘，不急不躁的贝斯, 韵味十足的爵士鼓。 风格近似于post-rock, 从起初的静到中间的爆发， 再到最后的缓，但是Aof俨然不像Mono, 或是Explosions in the sky 的似的大爆炸，主场哀伤感性的声音， 倒是让我感到他们更像Damien Rice.

我并不是对他们很熟悉， 所以一些好听的曲目竟叫不出歌名。 主要是去体验一下澳洲这边小酒吧的感觉。温情不焦躁，没有酒后的激情，到更显一丝内省，也许这正是Aof的音乐带来的，不错的小演出。

Nostalghia – Song for Tarkovsky


这是我见到的最吸引人的唱片封面， 第一眼就把我吸引住了。 海并非是深蓝色的， 而是倒映着天上的滚滚乌云， 呈现出一种墨黑色，更显着无比的深沉；且并非是流动的， 尽管有层叠的波涛，但却让我感到更多的是一种静止。

法国钢琴家Francois Couturier， 这次是其第一次作为乐队的主脑，并向其最喜爱的电影导演Tarkovsky致敬的唱片. 曲目的名字多是采用了电影的名字。 Tarkovsky曾经说过， 好的电影是不需要配乐的， 其电影中配乐只占很小分量， 倒不想Tarkovsky 是最会运用电影配乐的大师。从唱片内页中一些电影的插图， 多是一些人物沧桑的特写还有末世空旷的孤独，我不曾看过Tarkovsky 的任何一部作品， 只能从Francois Couturier 音乐中去领悟， FC的音乐中强烈的画面感比比皆是，这也恰恰切合了ECM一直宣扬的音乐理念， 专辑里的一切乐器，奏出的是无比深沉的乐章，静心聆听，沉思已久。

03年Blonde Redhead加盟4AD，似乎也佔染了不少4AD的唯美色彩與修飾，也成了他们音乐风格的分水岭， 新专23來得更見美麗動人與縈繞心頭，處處師承自昔日4AD廠牌頭號樂團Cocteau Twins的唯美氣息。聽今天的Blonde Redhead，某程度上會叫我聯想到另一昔日4AD旗下樂團Lush，一并继承着Shoegazer音樂的血脈。如今的如日中天， 真可谓'十年磨一剑'

尽管现如今的大获成功， 但是我还是想不知趣得将时空倒转， 回到他们在纽约地下摸爬滚打的时期， 来一次真实的温故而知新， 乐队起初，正如樂隊名字Blonde Redhead，正是取自由Arto Lindsay領軍的紐約No Wave名團DNA在A Taste Of DNA EP(1981年)內的一曲Blonde Red Head，已反眏了他們的反搖滾藝術取向。也是何解多年來他們都被拿來跟Sonic Youth作相提並論。

Blonde Redhead之備受注目，除了樂隊別樹一幟的日本女生加意大利孿生兒三人陣容外，還有他們身邊總得以有圈中前輩樂手之扶持。

早在九十年代中期，他們便受到Sonic Youth鼓手Steve Shelley之青睞，而把Blonde Redhead羅致其Smells Like廠牌旗下。繼而他們便轉投到Touch & Go，隨後Blonde Redhead發表的多張專輯，為人津津樂道，是一直交由華盛頓Post-Hardcore / Art-Punk樂團Fugazi團員Guy Picciotto擔任監製，在Fugazi的Art-Punk感染下，其聲音的藝術素質也日益顯注。

In An Expression Of The Inexpressible，是他们Touch & Go时期的三部曲之一，以噪音吉他为主线, 急促且富侵略性的音乐, 俨然是噪音美学的虔诚继承者, 聆听时请暂且忘记其目前如斯幽美的声音， 来一同感受在懊惱思緒下，执拗，纯粹，青涩，蹩脚，扭曲，尖锐，尖叫，带有art punk之风， 又不乏好听。In An Expression Of The Inexpressible之于BR,就如同Bleach之于Nirvana。

Tortoise A Lazarus Taxon

If recommend a tortoise album, Others might tell you that 1996’s Millions Now Living Will Never Die is the definitive Tortoise recording, but I’ll stand by A Lazarus Taxon as an introduction. For celebrating their 16 years, Tortoise released A Lazarus Taxon in 2006 incorporate three CDs and a DVD，in a sporty box and featuring essays by several authors in several languages。I just got this legend album at present and cost my 43 Burks.

Tortoise, formed in early 1990, from Chicago, is the prime force to development and popularity of post-rock. It is hard to express their style. traditional rock instrumentation underpinning jazz-style arrangements, experimental production techniques, analog synthesizers, the occasionally danceable rhythm, and a host of influences ranging from Miles Davis to Morton Subotnick, from Slint to Ry Cooder, Joy Division to Can, had the inherent appeal of underground chic, musical chops, and a punk-influenced DIY sensibility.

长时间的聆听过程中， 渐渐的我开始转变了， in my direct experience, 他们的音乐是不易接受的， 但是却很耐人寻味的。 这张专辑仍需要更多的聆听和感受。Like GYBE, tortoise 的成员有都在寻求个人的发展，像 The Sea and Cake, Brokeback, Shrimp Boat, Slint, Isotope 217, and the Chicago Underground Duo， 他们共同构建了庞大的tortoise家族。 Even after this weighty retrospective box is sequenced, mastered and shipped out, tortoise remains unfinished, in the best sense of the world.

听音乐

一开始是看得多，听得少，我来自一个闭塞的小城市，没有打口，很难接受到一些国外的音乐， 只能通过一些杂志，最早是音像世界， 随后通俗歌曲， 摩登天空（当时还有），我爱摇滚乐， 还邮寄过两本MCB, 特别喜欢随刊赠送的CD。 后来上了大学， 一个比较大的城市， 能买到打口， 原盘， 黄标出的盗版， 还有非音乐， 口袋音乐， 但是还是有很多音乐听不到。 现如今身在国外， 庞大的唱片店， 如BMV, JB HI-FI, 或是一些secondhand record shop, 里面货架摆放着所有你想听的东西， 当然要有钱才行， 像我这样的无产阶级只能是饱饱眼福， 而选择网络免费下载， 足不出户， 一天即可下载20多张不同类别的专辑， 同时也时不时买些NME, Kerrang，Metal Hammer, Wire, Q等来看看，了解音乐咨询。现在是听得多，看得少， 只能感叹好音乐是听不完的。。。。

我的包裹
Inertia is one of Australia's leading independent record companies. So I ordered Mono’s new album from Inertia’s official website and received it now. So excited!
If let me recommended a post rock band, I have no hesitation in introducing Mono. In Mono's early years many critics drew parallels between them and Mogwai, but over time Mono has created their own sound. Also, Mono are known for their powerful live performances.
‘You are there’ is one of the greatest post rock albums I have heard last year. Now Australia / NZ licensing of ‘Gone’ is released ahead of the rest of the World where the album is out 11 September!, which collected all their rare tracks and perfectly show their astounding growth..

Mono 的音乐永远是美丽的和带有希望的!

夜里12.30 下班回来， 工作7.30 小时， 只拿$30

现在在一家中式餐馆当waiter, 因为是在suburb, 所以接待的均是local, 餐馆叫Feast, 算是在Adelaide 比较上档次的restaurant, 有爵士乐陪伴, 自然是一种享受。 工作的主要内容就是接待食客， 做sitting, 点菜， 上台， 既然是接待老外， 点酒，做咖啡当然是重头戏， 品种繁多， 流程繁重， 自然是小可现在所不能为的。 不过越是不做， 也就越上瘾， 不知哪一天才能让我过瘾。

因为是初学者， 自然工资低的惊人， 同时还要表现优秀，才能得到老板的信任和栽培，工作中既要服务顾客， 工作后还要在staff meal中practice, 这种半工半学， 对于半路出家的我来说， 自然是满足了。

高兴的是， 我终于合格通过了， 为自己加油！

最近总会不经意的选出这队瑞典组合轻盈淡雅的电音之作做醒神静心之用，以逃离喧嚣的城市。电子碎拍配以吉他， 加上男主音的假声轻吟， 总会令你想起lamb, mum, 以及sigur ros，时而仿若雾中的清晨，时而布满繁星的夜晚， 宁静中渗透出一种冰冷， 一张令人哈气之作， 从鼻尖凉到脸颊。

我和爸妈在澳洲度过幸福的20天

去年4.16, 我离开父母，支身一人来到澳洲。 一年多后， 终于盼到与他们团聚， 2007. 7.10晚上6点， 他们抵达Adelaide机场， 我开车去接， 那一刻， 太幸福了，永远也不会忘。

接下来的20天里， 我带着他们转了我的学校，Adelaide city， 唐人街， 步行街， 赌场，海滩，山上。开车从Adelaide往北，去了南澳著名的大葡萄园 Barossa Valley，领略了澳洲的田园风光， 品尝了纯正的葡萄酒。 往南到过海滨小镇Victor Harbor, 感受了大洲尽头的壮美，吃到了最好的Fish & chips。途经德国小镇Hahndorf，吃到了正宗的德国猪肘子。还到我原先工作的皮萨店吃了皮萨。 最后热情的意大利房东还邀请我们吃了一次纯正的意大利晚餐， 还参加了他儿子的生日宴会， 他们全家人包括我们几个老外围坐在院子里吃烧烤，一起开怀畅饮。还有好多好多…….. 我已经用摄像机拍下了这所有的一切， 并且制作成了影片。

20天对于幸福的一家人，简直是太快了，7.30 凌晨4点我送他们上飞机，晚上收到他们的短信，到达北京。

8.5晚上，我记录下这些，仍感到父母就在我的身旁……
