2008年到了, 刚刚和朋友在河边看完新年的烟火。与圣诞节不同, New Year Eve 人们都纷纷走上街头, 互相问候Happy New Year, 热闹的不得了。

1.Nostalgia 77 &Nostalgia 77 Octec

Everything under the Sun

In January 2007 under the Nostalgia 77 name he won Jazz Album Of The Year at the BBC Radio One Gilles Peterson Worldwide Awards, and was runner up in the Session of the Year category. On “Everything Under The Sun”, Lamdin explains that he “wanted to make welcoming music”, and “music that is open to everyone”. “Before jazz was a technical music it was an emotional and popular music, it is this kind of music we should be nostalgic for.”

The Weapons of Jazz Destruction

A dynamic, beautifully melodic album embodying the heart and soul of ‘60s Jazz with a modern Nostalgia 77 twist. This is beautifully juxtaposed against the sought after bass and fidelity of modern production techniques. As Ben himself alluringly states, “it’s jazz – but not as we know it”.

“Basically, the body of music that exists is like a river meeting a dam – constantly accumulating. Finally it will break through.... The music is inevitable, and it cannot stand still; it never has been able to stand still. It will change, and it will flow, but the seeds of the solution always exist in the music itself.”Paul Bley in Down Beat, in 1964

Top 10 ECM records of 2007

1.Manu Katché 'Playground' (ECM 2016)
“I’m always trying to put patterns together and to make a groove out of them, and to colour things. That’s basic to my concept of music-making whether I’m playing jazz or rock or anything else, whether I’m playing my music or working with Sting or Peter Gabriel or whoever. I’m building a groove to inspire the soloists and, hopefully, myself.”
