Everything under the Sun

In January 2007 under the Nostalgia 77 name he won Jazz Album Of The Year at the BBC Radio One Gilles Peterson Worldwide Awards, and was runner up in the Session of the Year category. On “Everything Under The Sun”, Lamdin explains that he “wanted to make welcoming music”, and “music that is open to everyone”. “Before jazz was a technical music it was an emotional and popular music, it is this kind of music we should be nostalgic for.”

The Weapons of Jazz Destruction

A dynamic, beautifully melodic album embodying the heart and soul of ‘60s Jazz with a modern Nostalgia 77 twist. This is beautifully juxtaposed against the sought after bass and fidelity of modern production techniques. As Ben himself alluringly states, “it’s jazz – but not as we know it”.
